Happy Birthday

Today is my sister's 28th birthday. And let me remind you that's not old. She told me herself. I mean really look at her she can rock climb and everything.Natalie is such a good example of how to be a loving wife, great sister and a hilarious mom. Her three boy are so smart and funny because she is so patient with them and chooses to stay at home and spend all of her time with them.
(Nataile's three boys Jacob, Joshua, and Nathan)

She is so creative and so fun to spend time with. Iam so sad that she moved to Reno, but luckily we get to see them often. I want to be just like my sister. I love her so much. Happy Birthday Natalie!!!

First Bath in a Baby Tub

Hailey got her first bath in a tub today. I have been bathing her in the sink all this time because I thought she was too small for her tub. She did great! I think she liked it better than the sink. Oh and don't worry Brooklyn would never miss a chance to be in the bathtub. She was right there to talk to sister and even get in on the cleaning action. What a helper!
What a happy baby! From now on all of Hailey's baths will in in her tub.

First Family Trip

Cliff (a friend from work) and Chris wanted to go snowboarding so we decided to make a family trip out of it. We hurried and got all of us packed up and in the car. About a half hour into our drive I remembered that my camera was still at the house. Dang it! I was so frustrated I wanted Chris to turn around, but we didn't because we had two sleeping girls. So that means drive and don't look back. We really enjoyed our trip it was freezing cold. Chris can testify to that. We had to hike in waist deep with our girls. After we got in Chris and Cliff were out in the snow for at least 3 more hours getting all of our stuff in. All he had on were his jeans and a sweatshirt. He's a pretty tuff guy! Tracy and I were inside with the kids trying to keep them warm because neither of us could keep the fire going. On Friday the guys headed out for the slopes and enjoyed their time up there. We came home on Saturday stopping to see lots of family. We got to see Brent and Seval in Cedar and then in St. George we saw Grandma and Grandpa Lundberg and then we saw Grandma and Grandpa Nelson. Brooklyn did a great job performing and showing off for everyone. What a girl! On our way to Vegas our trip got really interesting. Brooklyn threw up two different times. Oh yeah just imagine the smell. We had her naked on the side of the highway trying to get her in some clean warm clothes. She is such a good girl she never cried. All day today we have kept towels by her and close to the bathroom. I love my family and am so thankful for a patient husband.

Beautiful Blanket

Grandma Truman is amazing. For all of her great grandchildren she has crocheted them a blanket. Hailey's is by far the best one she has done yet. It is so beautiful this picture doesn't even do it justice. Grandma worked so hard on it through everything that has happened in the last few months. This blanket I think will always mean more to me than to Hailey because of the different memories I have of her making it. I am so thankful that my girls have these blankets as a little part of their Grandma's love.

Hailey Girl

Hailey is growing and getting bigger all the time. She is learning to play with her toys and is enjoying tummy time . We love our sweet girls and are so happy to have both of them in our family. Last night Hailey only woke up one time at 4:00! And Chris fed her. Thanks dear!

Potty Time

Today Brooklyn went potty on the toilet 3 times. Good job Brooks mom is so happy with your progerss!

Aunty and Uncle

Aunt Melanie has been in town. Brooklyn sure loves her. We have been spending lots of time with her. Uncle Jeremy comes around more too when she is here. I guess we are all fans of Melanie. For Christmas she gave the girls Utah State University shirts (which they look so cute in.) Cute little aggies! Man Brooklyn was a crack up tonight. She is talking more and more all the time. Tonight she had a little bit of gas. She told Uncle Jeremy that she tooted and then she helped her sister out by plugging Hailey's nose. What a sweet girl. Here is Jeremy with Brooklyn. He is so patient and kind with her. I know he will make a great dad one day. Thanks for being such a good uncle to my girls!

Dreams Come True

We have had such a fun weekend! On Friday night the girls and I traveled all the way across town. That's a trip all on its own. We stopped by my moms house to get out and stretch and say hi. While Brooklyn stuffed her mouth with countless jellybeans. Thanks mom. Then we went over to Grandma Burr's house. Aunty Melanie was coming in town! While we waited for her we played a little Guitar Hero.Grandpa was the one watching Brooklyn at this time. He was a little busy "Rocking Out!" And Grandma is finally felling better so she was enjoying her time holding Haliey.

Then on Saturday we were given tickets to go see Disney on Ice. Brooklyn was so excited to see Cinderella. She was the very last princess to come out and Brooklyn was getting anxious so Chris bought his girls some cotton candy to hold us over. This was Brooklyn's first time eating cotton candy. She wasn't quite sure what to think. Finally Cinderella made her appearance and Brooklyn was so happy. Here is a picture of Chris holding his girls during the show.
What a good dad! Oh yeah Hailey really liked it...she slept almost the whole time! After the show we headed over just in time to watch Uncle Andrew wrestle for the first place medal. And he won! Congrats Andrew! Brooklyn was so proud of him. She cheered him on the whole time.
Here is Brooklyn congratulating Andrew after his match. This year Lori is on the wrestling board. What a dedicated mom! So her Melanie and Brooklyn were doing the sheets for each match.
And yes wrestling does run in the family. It looks like Hailey might turn out to be pretty tuff!

Bed Time Blues...

We have been trying to teach Brooklyn to sleep in her new big girl bed...not because we want to, but because we are protecting her. As soon as we lay her down in her crib she jumps right back out and it is kind of a long fall. She doesn't seem to mind because she will do it multiple times. She is doing pretty well, but last night while Chris was at work she decided to get up so I went to sit with her and help her go back to sleep. While I was upstairs Hailey started crying downstairs. I was carrying Brooklyn downstairs to check on her sister and I fell down the stairs. It really hurt. So I laid on the stairs for awhile and both my girls were crying. When I finally got up I grabbed both girls and we all slept together. What a night!

25!

We celebrated Chris' 25th birthday today! What an old man. I hope he is as excited about his gifts as I am. We are going to Tahoe for a weekend getaway to go hit the slopes. Happy Birthday baby!

The Princess and her Sister

Today the girls wore matching dresses to church. They looked so cute. Brooklyn kept telling Chris she was a priness!

Giggles and Smiles

Hailey is feeling much better! Thank goodness. It's hard to watch your children be sick. Last night she looked up at me and just smiled, and then she did it again! Now my mom says she has been smiling at her for quite some time now, but finally she smiled at her mama!!!

Decorating

I have started decorating our new house. It is so hard to know what to do and where to put stuff. So I started in the bathrooms. Aren't my towels so cute!
This is our master bathroom!

This is the girls bathroom!

And this is the hall bathroom!

Dinosaurs don't say "MEOW"

My mom gave Brooklyn tickets for her and some friends to go see Walking with Dinosaurs. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I called to invite our friends. So we packed up all of the kids and headed off on our adventure.

Don't they look so comfy all in the back of my Saturn Vue!! Brooklyn, Natalia, and Branson...so CUTE!!!
The show was so wonderful thank you mom! Everything was so life like the dinosaurs were huge and Brooklyn was a little afraid. She kept a tight grip around my neck, but she wouldn't stop waving and blowing them kisses with the other hand.
Ok I tired to get a good picture of how the dinosaurs moved around...ok look really close at the bottom of the dinosaur in between his legs...can you see a little car like thing? A man was underneath them driving them. It was pretty cool. And Dad dinosaurs don't say "MEOW!"

Hospital for Hailey

What a weekend we have had. Hailey was blessed by her dad on Sunday and then all the family came over for dinner. It was a wonderful day. Then Monday morning Hailey woke up feeling a little warm... her temperature was 103.1! I was a in a panic. We headed out to see Dr. Dushman (the best doctor ever). He was worried about her having RSV and being very dehydrated. So we ended up in the hospital to get a breathing treatment and LOTS of fluids. Poor Hailey got poked 7 or 8 times. She was so dehydrated that her tiny veins kept collapsing. Christopher met me there at about 3:00 AM so that I could get some rest and some food. Hailey ended up being admitted on Monday, but we were lucky that she started doing so much better and we got to come home on Monday night. I just want to thank my mom and Lori for helping with Brookly and always being a support! We took Hailey back in today and she is doing much better. She gets a breathing treatment every 4 hours and lots of love! Thank you everyone for your prayers she is doing great.

Bling for a baby

Today was Hailey's two month doctor's appointment, which in the Burr family that means only one thing...EARINGS!! Just like we did with Brooklyn, Chris took Hailey to get her ears pierced. I can't be the mean mom so I let Chris be the mean dad. She did really well. There were only a few tears. Little Hailey looks so cute with her new earings and if we have the same hair growing problems that we have with Brooklyn they will come in very handy!

Who's Dodge?

I guess I should explain who Dodge is. People have been calling and asking about who he is. Dodge is our new little puppy. We got him at the festival of Trees and Lights charity auction. He was one of the gifts that came with our tree. Chris was not about to bid on a tree with " a little white rat" as a gift (words from the mouth of Chris), but Dodge ended up coming home with us. Brooklyn and I just love him so much, so does Chris secretly!

What a great New Year!

Jacob, Josh, Brooklyn, Nathan, and Hailey

The holidays were great. The day after Christmas was just as good as Christmas day. My sister and her family came into town for the week. We had way too much fun with Natalie's singing abilities and our waiter that overused the words "thank you."

On Sunday we packed up the cars and headed to St. George to see our Grandparents. Brooklyn was a busy body like always, but she didn't break anything (what a relief.) Christopher worked through New Year's Eve down on the strip. What an exciting night he had. It was so cold, but he had his trusty battery operated socks. Well another year has come and gone. I can't wait to see what 2008 has to offer!

Merry Christmas

We enjoyed our first Christmas as a family of four. Brooklyn had a blast opening gifts...including ones that weren't hers! Christopher got to be home with us. With his schedule you just never know when this city is going to need him. Merry Christmas from the Burr family!
